1. Purpose

These Terms govern your use of the game *HANMAL: Heroes of the Late Han* and related services (the "Service") provided by Projectteamforyou ("we", "us"), and set out the rights and obligations of both parties.

2. Definitions

  1. Service — the game and all ancillary services we provide, on web, mobile, or desktop.
  2. User — anyone who uses the Service under these Terms.
  3. Account — identifying information we issue for using the Service.
  4. Content — all game data, text, images, audio, and software provided within the Service.

3. Acceptance and Changes

  1. These Terms take effect when posted within the Service.
  2. We may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law, with at least 7 days' notice (30 days for changes adverse to users).
  3. If you do not agree to the amended Terms you may stop using the Service and delete your account. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance.

4. The Service

  1. We provide single-player game content, cloud save synchronisation, leaderboards, and optional paid content.
  2. We aim to provide the Service continuously, but it may be suspended for maintenance, repairs, or force majeure.
  3. Parts of the Service are usable without an account.

5. User Obligations

You must not:

  1. Use another person's account or personal data
  2. Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the software (except where expressly permitted by law)
  3. Access the Service by abnormal means or tamper with game data
  4. Submit leaderboard records obtained by illegitimate means
  5. Infringe our or any third party's intellectual property
  6. Deliberately interfere with the operation of the Service
  7. Violate applicable law

6. Paid Content and Refunds

  1. Payments are processed under the policies of the relevant platform (Steam, App Store, Google Play, and others).
  2. Withdrawal and refunds follow applicable consumer protection law and each platform's refund policy.
  3. Refunds may be limited where the content has already been consumed or where withdrawal is otherwise restricted by law.

7. Intellectual Property

  1. Copyright and all intellectual property in the Service and Content belong to us, except for materials licensed from third parties, which remain with their respective owners.
  2. This game is an original work that draws on characters, places, and events from public domain sources, principally the *Records of the Three Kingdoms* (Chen Shou) and *Romance of the Three Kingdoms* (Luo Guanzhong).
  3. This game is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any company that publishes other games set in the same historical period, and uses none of their artwork, audio, or data. Any trademarks that may be mentioned are the property of their respective owners.
  4. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell the Content without our prior written consent.
  5. Rights in user-created mods and scenarios remain with their creators; by publishing them through the Service you grant us a non-exclusive right to distribute and display them within the Service.

8. Game Data

  1. Save data is stored on your device and, if you enable synchronisation, on our servers.
  2. We take reasonable care to preserve data but are not liable for loss caused by device failure, user error, or force majeure.
  3. Game data may be updated for balance, which can change how existing saves play.

9. Modification and Discontinuation

  1. We may change or discontinue parts of the Service.
  2. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give at least 30 days' notice and enable you to download your save data.
  3. Unused paid content will be refunded as required by applicable law.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  1. We are not liable for failure to provide the Service due to force majeure, power failure, or network outage.
  2. We do not guarantee that the Service will meet any particular expectation of profit or satisfaction.
  3. Historical depictions in this game include creative interpretation and are not warranted as academically accurate.
  4. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
  2. Disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation; failing that, they may be brought before the competent court.
